CaseStudy

Eleven Remeha Quinta Ace 160 boilers have been installed by Lord Combustion Services at the Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Molineux Stadium and at the Sir Jack Hayward training ground in Compton.

The Molineux Stadium was the fi rst of two sites to be refurbished. For head of operations, Steve Sutton, and facilities manager, Mark Lewis, ensuring a comfortable environment for fans and players was a key priority. More reliable and effi cient heating was essential, with minimising operational impact as a further consideration. Lord Combustion Services submitted the winning tender with the recommendation to install fi ve high-effi ciency Remeha Quinta Ace 160 condensing boilers for energy-saving space heating. An Andrews Water Heaters ECOfl o fully condensing direct fi red water heater was selected to meet the demand for hot water.

Stuart Smith, managing director at Lord Combustion Services said: “We recommended Remeha as we are familiar with their products and the reliability.” The Remeha boilers have now been running

problem-free for a year. When the time came to replace the ageing boilers at the Wolves’ Compton training ground,

Remeha Quinta Ace 160 boilers were once again selected. Mr Lewis explained: “At the training ground as at the Stadium, achieving reliable heating was a major concern as here the boilers not only provide space heating but feed into the plate heat exchanger to deliver hot water.” Six Remeha Quinta Ace 160 boilers were installed to provide both energy-effi cient space heating and plentiful hot water. Mr Smith said: “We recommended installing multiple Quinta Ace 160 boilers in a cascade arrangement to maximise their energy-saving benefi ts. This also means that servicing and maintenance can be carried out with no disruption.” Mr Sutton added: “With the new boilers now commissioned, we’re looking forward to benefi tting from the same reliable, high performance heating and hot water provision at the training ground that we’ve come to expect from Remeha boilers.”
