Engineering excellence since 1935

were heated by inefficient, polluting, coal-fired stoves – and decided to do something about it. Remeha was founded in 1935 and just four years later, the company had developed a highly- acclaimed programme for oil, gas and solid fuels. Following the energy crisis of the 1970s, Remeha

became a pioneer of efficiency-led low-NOx condensing boiler technology. The UK’s first commercial condensing boiler, which was introduced into Watson House (the British Gas testing centre) in 1983, was manufactured and supplied by Remeha. The boiler was installed by Broag, a UK manufacturer of oil burners and provider of engineering services.

The Remeha range

Some 80 years since its foundation, Remeha remains at the forefront of new technological heating advances, with a complete focus on commercial heating solutions for the UK. At the heart of the product portfolio is the fully- modulating, high-efficiency low-NOx condensing boiler range, providing individual outputs of 8.9kW to 1,303kW. Built around a single design concept, the boilers are expandable and updatable, and can be supported by advanced controls to maximise heating efficiencies. The range also includes complementary high- performance renewable solutions, including Combined Heat and Power (CHP) units (pictured

Pumps (GAHPs) that can be installed alone or combined with Remeha boilers to create a new low-carbon plant room.

Greater design flexibility As a manufacturer, Remeha invests heavily in research and development to meet the needs of the industry. With plant room space currently at a premium, there is a demand for greater design flexibility. The goal is therefore to offer advanced-designed

condensing boilers that offer

flexible options, but are still engineered to be efficient to specify, run and maintain. Remeha is pleased with the success of the high output Quinta Ace 160, its newest wall-hung boiler and an extension to its Quinta Pro range. For specifiers, a major benefit of the Quinta Ace 160 is the opportunity to move large outputs away from the floor and onto the wall. The Quinta Ace 160 also offers designers the ability to add redundancy when installed on cascade and off-site fabricated rig systems, and increase turndown ratio in a small footprint. The added output expands the wall-hung range – and with the option of mixed output cascades with the Quinta Pro, Remeha can now match heat loads far more accurately and easily for added flexibility. The Gas 220 Ace, Remeha’s new high output

floor-standing condensing boiler range, has again been specially engineered to offer improved flexibility in plant room design. Ultra-compact, the Gas 220 Ace boasts an industry-leading output to physical size ratio and features an innovative new aluminium monobloc heat exchanger to ensure high efficiency, reliability and durability. Clever design means that this boiler can be positioned in back-to- back and side-to-side space-saving modular configurations, with the added option for cascades of up to eight models. The new Gas 220 Ace also increases the outputs
