CIAT
CIAT has launched #CIAT4life, a campaign to spread awareness of CIAT’s advanced IAQ solutions and services to help create healthier indoor environments.
Through #CIAT4life, CIAT strives to support customers improve their IAQ with its new BluEdge service platform.
Through its indoor air quality assessments, CIAT can test air quality and develop and implement upgrades to help ensure optimal fi ltration, ventilation, airfl ow, and controls for their customers. CIAT experts can also develop and implement company wide IAQ engineering standards. CIAT off ers new equipment and retrofi t including innovative
fi ltration technologies with various terminal fi lters and HEPA fi lters for particulate matters. CIAT also off ers devices using UV-C light, to help remove volatile organic compounds and improve IAQ thanks to UV photocatalytic oxidation.
To help create a safer space, CIAT has developed the CIAT Clean Line dual mode air scrubber and negative air machine. As an air scrubber, the unit can improve IAQ by helping to fi lter the smallest particle sizes that may carry bacteria and pathogens, then discharging cleaner air back in the room. The machine can also create negative pressure to prevent air from spreading to adjacent rooms in the building.

Clivet
Clivet has launched the enhanced VRF system, evolving central plant design to the best life-cycle saving in commercial buildings. Keeping optimal
comfort conditions and health within buildings results in signifi cant capital and
operating cost. This is even enhanced in the commercial sector, due to the higher range of challenging constraints such as high space loads, simultaneous cooling and heating, outdoor air management and domestic hot water, if any. In this sector, central plants are probably the most popular HVAC design solution.
Trane
Trane has introduced the RTXC, its fi rst European air-to-water heat pump with proprietary screw compressor technology. Off ering market leading effi ciencies, renowned reliability of the screw compressor and wide operating map, the RTXC meets the requirements for robust and high-performance comfort cooling and heating across Europe. The Trane screw compressor technology enables the RTXC heat pump to continuously control its capacity, which signifi cantly enhances the water temperature stability. The performance is managed by the Trane Tracer UC800 adaptive controller, which can keep the unit running despite the most challenging conditions and occurrences, when other units would simply shut down. Buildings requiring energy effi cient comfort cooling and heating system can now benefi t from the Trane RTXC market leading effi ciency. With up to 20 percent better effi ciency than competitive units, and coeffi cient of performance (COP) level of 3.5, the Trane RTXC off ers lower operating costs and reduces the energy intensity of the building. Market leading operating map and the ability to deliver 55°C of heating at an ambient temperature as low as -10°C makes the RTXC an ideal solution for comfort heating applications across Europe.

There are four basic components: • VRF outdoor units with EVI (Enhanced Vapor Injection) compressor technology, available both in heat pump or heat recovery version, operating range from -25°C in heating mode and from -15°C to 52°C in cooling mode, high heating capacity at low ambient temperature, compressor frequency operation down to 7% for the maximum part load system effi ciency, innovative Energy Management System to adapt the refrigerant temperature to the real environmental needs maximizing the comfort and energy saving. In addition to the current line-up, a new series of R32 Mini VRF outdoor units will be introduced to minimize the environmental impact
• VRF indoor units, completely redesigned featuring innovative functions such as 7 fan speeds and available in a wide range of models and sizes from 1.7 kW to 56 kW for the maximum application fl exibility
• Control systems with a wide range of commands to manage diff erent zones locally or remotely independently depending on the specifi c needs. Wireless and wired remote controls, centralised touchscreen controls, interfaces for cloud control from smartphones, tablets or PCs, supervision systems for centralised management of multiple systems in diff erent locations and BMS interfaces for integration of the VRF system with third party equipment.
• Mechanical ventilation units, fully integrated in the range of control systems for maximum immediacy in managing the system, allow a healthy environment, using diff erent technologies in order to meet the diff erent buildings requirements.
