noticeable is that now is the time for refrigeration to shine. Cooling events across the board have mostly been dominated by air conditioning in recent years, so it’s refreshing to see those in the refrigeration sector recognised for the work they do. It’s deserved too, as refrigeration is usually the hidden part of cooling – so often I hear people, passionate about their work but humble: who wants to hear about a ‘fridge engineer? One of the positives that has come out of Covid-19 is the answer – everyone. The mainstream spotlight has been on vaccine transport and storage in recent weeks, and supermarkets over the last few months, but not to be forgotten are the smaller pharmacies, SPARs and corner shops that have come into their own and kept the nation going.
Our Awards event will be virtual again this year, so do please join us on 18 March to celebrate not just air conditioning but refrigeration too.
