ujitsu General Air Conditioning UK has made three key appointments to strengthen its team in various areas. Hayley Kent joins as area sales manager (Midlands). She was previously a business development manager at Daikin UK and spent 13 years in sales roles for Mitsubishi Electric. Rob Broughton arrives at Elstree as an applied specialist. He brings extensive industry experience, having worked in commissioning, technical, and project roles for

several contractors and distributors, including Space Air and Ultimate Air. Jay Soni joins Fujitsu as a


pre-sales specifi cation engineer and is relishing the challenge of


creating designs for customers. He was previously a Technical Sales Engineer at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHIAE).


Evans BESA appoints Kevin Morrissey as technical director T


he Building Engineering Services Association (BESA) has appointed Kevin Morrissey, the


managing director of HE Simm Engineering, as its new technical director. Morrissey will take up his new position with BESA in March 2025 and brings over 35 years of industry experience, including chairing the Association’s technical committee since 2023.


He leaves HE Simm after nearly six years, having previously held technical and operational leadership roles at Wates, Lorne Stewart, NG Bailey and Axima/Sulzer Infra. His career began in 1989 as an apprentice with Matthew Hall where he qualifi ed as a building services engineer.


As chair of the technical committee, Morrissey oversaw BESA’s regular output of technical guidance and


advice. He played an important role in the Association’s response to the Building Safety Act, its work around the decarbonisation of heat, indoor air quality, and the rapid changes in refrigerants for cooling technologies. His appointment follows BESA’s


recruitment of Tony Gilbert as its fi rst chief operating offi cer, part of an ambitious reshaping of its senior leadership team.


Jet Environmental appoints new technical manager for HVAC design


H


VAC specialist Jet Environmental has appointed Chris Ludwig as its new


technical manager. With a mechanical engineering


degree and a 25 year career spanning roles at Daikin UK and a contractor specialising in renewables and HVAC design, Ludwig has a proven track record in after-sales technical engineering, pre-sales


technical applications, and


designing energy-effi cient systems. Reporting to technical director Ivan Garcia, he will lead the design of technically compliant HVAC systems for the warehousing sector, integrating Jet


Environmental’s bespoke products with third- party equipment.

appointed UK sales and marketing director at Qvantum


H


arriet Evans has been appointed UK sales and marketing director at


heat pump manufacturer Qvantum Energy Technology, after initially joining in a consultancy role. She previously served as renewables director at Baxi and in a consulting specifi cation role at Beijer Ref UK & Ireland. After graduating from Loughborough University with a degree in building services engineering, Harriet worked as a consultant engineer at R W Gregory & Partners and in various sales roles at Trane UK and Trane Netherlands, Space Air Conditioning, and Camco, which later became Mitsubishi Electric. During her 19 years at Mitsubishi Electric, she established the company’s Corporate Sales Team.
