The Reel Deal from Somerset Solders
W
hen it comes soldering, whether for electronics assembly or for metal fabrication, use the best solder wires for the application. What makes a good solder wire? For flux cored solders a flux chemistry that gives great wetting performance promoting oxide removal, heat transfer and solder flow and for all products solders that are made from high purity alloys to produce strong and reliable joint formation. Somerset Solders only supplies the very best solders and all from leading manufacturers. For PCB assembly, we stock no clean, water
soluble, rosin based and colophony free fluxed solders in gauges from 0.20mm. Soldering metals such as brass, bronze, copper, zinc, mild steel, and silver use one of our high active fluxed solders. For metal fabrication, plumbing and stained glass work use a solid core product with one of our liquid pre- fluxes.

ugged, compact, sealed M12 connectors are popular for sensor/actuator connectivity in factory automation, process control, and industrial instrumentation. The screw locking M12 style connector has from 2 to 8 contacts and is IP67 rated so can be well suited for moisture-laden environments. Field attachable connectors have the freedom and flexibility to react to the cabling situation on site or to enable building your own M12 cables. M12 connectors may also be coded by application. As well as M12, In2Connect’s range of connectors include M8, 7/8”, Rund24, M23, tooling and junction systems, adapters and splitters.

he all-new MRO series of compact, high-performance professional routers is due to be launched by M2M and IoT solutions specialist INSYS icom. MRO series routers are based on the established MRX modular router platform and support edge as well as cloud computing. These new products will complement and expand the existing line-up of devices for INSYS icom's own smart IoT platform and other applications. Chief among the various cutting-edge features of the MRO is the built-in icom SmartBox, an LXC-based Linux environment for edge computing: the icom SmartBox allows for local storage and processing of data and enables programs and scripts to be executed regardless of the router operating system and configuration. This is made possible by Linux containers (LXC) which run different applications independently and completely closed off from each other. Since every individual container has its own IP and MAC address, it can be addressed directly as a virtual device behind the router. Additional peripherals can also be virtualised to save costs

New ESD garments for 2017 N
ew to our ESD clothing range are two exciting product developments. We now stock ESD Hi-Vis jackets for static control and added high visibility in designated safety areas. Available as either a yellow or orange polyester cotton with a carbon monofilament and reflective material strips. We have also introduced the option for elasticated cuffs for all 15 colours of our ESD lab coat and ESD lab jacket range as an alternative to stud fastenings. Either method is there to ensure that non-ESD long sleeved personal clothing remain under the sleeve of the ESD garment. Also available are custom sized garments from 6XL on upwards, plastic stud fastenings and not forgetting an embroidery service that adds that personal touch to your clothing. All ESD garments are manufactured to current ESD standards IEC 61340-5-1 and ANSI / ESD S20.20.
