Balluff connectors for high-temperature applications to 120 °C
B
alluff's broad range of Connectivity products include BCC connectors for high-temperature applications up to 120 °C and new weld splatter resistant PUR cables. The rugged BCC connectors with IP 68 protection are ideal for wiring and fast connection of sensors/actuators and systems in industrial automation. Included in the range are flame-resistant versions for high-temperature applications up to 120°C, such as required for example to connect high-pressure rated sensors in hydraulic applications. The connectors with the usual Balluff alignment mark on the grip are available as 3 and 4-pin straight or right-angle. Standard PUR cables from Balluff are known for being elastic, wear and impact resistant and tough against solvents. All new in the Balluff line are now also spark- and weld splatter-resistant versions according to ISO 14001. The new cables, which meet all the requirements of the automobile industry, can replace radiation cross linked cables which are considered added-expense hazardous waste when it comes time for disposal. The new cables are available in various standard lengths and in black or orange jacket colours.

ot only are ifm electronic’s new incremental encoders programmable, they have switched outputs for a pre-set count or speed, but the real innovation is the built-in display of, for example, count or speed. Functions such as setting the resolution are carried out simply using the intuitive pushbuttons. Remote setting is also possible, and for this ifm electronic chose the IO-Link open standard. Machine builders and incremental encoder users can now select the housing they require, choosing 6mm or 10mm diameter solid shafts, or 12mm semi- hollow, and that is all they need to stock, programming the resolution as required. The smart encoders also offer selectable 5V or 24V outputs. The range is also equipped with the compact M12 connector, which rotates to select the cable angle.

he revolutionary SmartShaker™ electrodynamic exciter is a small, portable permanent magnet shaker with a new generation of ultra compact precision power amplifier integrated into its base eliminating the need for separate cumbersome amplifiers. Just plug the excitation signal from a dynamic signal analyzer or function generator directly into the BNC on the base of the shaker. SmartShaker provides up to 31 N pk sine force. The unit is supplied with a DC power supply but can be run directly from any 12-21 VDC supply. The K2007E01 features an extremely rugged suspension system using carbon fibre composite flexures, avoiding the suspension damage common with some other small shakers. A trunnion base with handles makes for convenient positioning. The exciter is delivered with a variety of 10-32 nylon stingers.
