motor installations and other systems. Designed for use on insulated and non
insulated conductors, the PSI4000 and PSI4300 carry out measurements via inductive crocodile clips, which can be simply clipped on to speed up testing and reduce the risk of coming into contact with live parts. LEDS provide a clear indication of phase
rotation and have a high intensity setting for when working in strong light. Similar in function, the only difference between the two phase sequence indicators is that the PSI4000 provides a correct indication for clockwise sequence, as used in the building facilities industry, while the PSI4300 provides a correct
indication for anticlockwise sequence as used, for example, in power utilities. For more information, call 01923 441717 or

ZEHNDER puts IAQ at the top of the agenda with high grade NOx filters
combat rising NO₂ levels. The filters help to ensure that air entering the home will meet minimum guidelines, especially important in Air Quality Management Areas (AQMAs). With IAQ and ventilation inextricably linked, the
Z
filters are used in conjunction with a Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR) strategy as part of the ‘Whole House’ ventilation approach, widely recognised to improve IAQ and increase health benefits for residents. Zehnder’s NOx filters provide high grade filtration
to meet Regulations requirements and are available in five options to suit all MVHR models. The filters are also compact in size, to minimise energy consumption, and have a lifespan of 2‐5 years. The filters also include a unique feature, an
integrated maintenance site panel. The perspex panel provides a quick view of the filter cartridge status when it is installed, eliminating the need to remove the entire front panel and saving time and labour on site.

ehnder Group UK has introduced a range of specialist NOx filters, to help customers meet important Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) targets and
cooling applications. Meter sizes range from DN15 to DN50 with BSP threaded and flanged connections, Qp values range from 0.6 to 15 m3/hr with R100 dynamic range as standard and R250 as an option covering a wide range of energy metering applications. Ultrasonic technology means the meter has no mechanical moving parts, prolonging the life of the meter and ensuring long term accuracy. The meter benefits from pulse outputs

for both heating and cooling in separate displays, automatically changing over when the temperatures change. Along with the energy readings the meter also logs hourly, daily and monthly values – useful for monthly billing and monitoring of historical data. The meter is battery powered with a 3.6V

installation, application flexibility and longevity, this series sets new performance standards in the HVAC industry. The new generation Belimo
butterfly valve‐actuator combination is the solution for heating isolation, chiller isolation and cooling tower isolation, change‐over‐systems, large air handler coil control and bypass applications. Thanks to having less overall
height and reduced weight it is easy to install the new Belimo PR actuator onto the new butterfly valve design with just two bolts. Due to the intelligent self‐
adjusting design, the newly developed butterfly valves and PR
actuators of Belimo are matched for each other throughout their entire lifespan. Intelligent self‐ adjusting end stops inside the actuator ensure easy installation and less commissioning effort. IP66/67 degree of protection

mounting for the calculator display. It can be mounted on the flow sensor, but where access to the meter is difficult the display can simply be unclipped and mounted on a wall, DIN rail or on a panel. 1.5m of cable from the flow sensor and temperature sensors is standard for the DN15 and DN20 sizes and 3m for the larger models with an option for up to 5m cable. Horizontal and vertical installations are possible and no requirements for straight runs before or after the meter. Direct immersion pocket sensors are available for all sizes within the Qalcosonic range and for the smaller 15‐20mm models one of the temperature sensors is mounted in the meter body, removing a portion of installation cost. R
M169 can discuss their requirements for innovative enclosure systems and find out about how the adequate provision of maintenance and the correct specification of systems can result in a substantially reduced down time, energy use and equipment failure. Of particular note will be the presence of the multi‐award winning Blue e+ climate control system – launched in 2015 to great acclaim thanks to its outstanding energy savings and flexibility.
System surveys, servicing and maintenance
Anyone keen to improve the long‐term health of their systems can
talk to Rittal’s experts. Discussions might range from possible remedial action if equipment is overheating, tripping or failing, to optimum service programmes for maintaining a system’s viability throughout its working life. For example, running manufacturing automation systems
consistently at high temperatures will have a major negative impact on the system’s performance, reduce its service life and raise potential safety issues. These may lead to a loss of production, costly equipment replacement/repair and Health & Safety issues. All of these factors are preventable with the correct action. A Rittal RiAssure3 survey will identify the likely risk of a system
overheating which could lead to equipment tripping or failing. It will then provide recommendations around remedial action – for example, changes to the system’s service and maintenance regime to help improve its efficacy or the need to invest in different climate control technology.
Blue e+ ‐ climate control solutions The Blue e+ climate control system is a major advance for both the
industrial and IT sectors and provides benefits to all users. It addresses common problems of panel builders, systems integrators, original equipment manufacturers and end users alike. As well as being far more energy efficient than existing cooling solutions, the Blue e+ uses state of the art technologies to deliver greater flexibility, safety and ease of handling. Key to the efficiency of the Blue e+ is Rittal’s innovative patented
hybrid system which uses a clever combination of a compressor cooling device and a heat pipe to take maximum advantage of passive cooling. As a consequence, energy savings have been up to 75 per cent
better than conventional units – a quantum leap forward for cooling systems, and a major incentive for manufacturers seeking to minimise steep rises in energy prices.
