High Pressure Mass Flow Controllers and Mass Flow
MQ and MCQ Series instruments operate on systems up to 320 PSIA
E
xpanding its fast-response flow instrumentation product offerings, Alicat Scientific has added lines of high pressure mass flow meters and corresponding high pressure mass flow controllers. The MQ Series meters and MCQ Series mass flow controllers will operate in high pressure systems, up to 320 PSIA (22 bar). The new products ensure accurate and stable system performance, with 10 ms sensor response speeds and sub-100 ms control response times on the
controllers. The multivariate MQ Series meters and MCQ Series flow controllers measure mass flow rate, volumetric flow rates, and pressures. As a result, controllers can be set up for closed loop control of mass flow while also reporting pressure, or closed loop control of pressure while also reporting mass flow. Each instrument comes with a NIST-traceable calibration certificate demonstrating 2 percent of full scale accuracy.

ynergy3 Components Ltd – have further expanded their range of industrial pressure sensors by developing the IWPT series of wireless pressure transmitters and receivers. The easy to set-up, DIL switch paired devices can save significant installation costs in remote or difficult to access locations and plants.
C With an active
range of up to 750m (line-of-sight) and a battery life in excess of 5 years, each pressure transducer sends data at a user-selectable update rate to either a single or 5-channel receiver.
The receiver
then produces either 4-20mA or 1-5Vdc analogue outputs of the measured pressure ranges. The transmitters are available in a wide variety of ranges from 0-50mbar to 0-400barG. Each transducer is manufactured in the UK from stainless steel and utilises piezo- resistive sensors and are accurate to +/-0.25%/FS.
Each device is
individually calibrated, temperature compensated and supplied with a traceable serial number. Cynergy3 Components Ltd
01202 897969 Trihalomethane Monitoring
“Today, many drinking water facilities rely on outside laboratory analysis for Trihalomethane(THM) monitoring. Although this data is reliable and accurate, the time it takes to receive THM data and the high cost per sample make outside lab analysis impractical for real- time optimization of water treatment processes. Parker’s new THM Analyzer is an easy to operate, integrated
Purge-and-Trap Gas Chromatograph (GC) that measures THM concentration at ppb levels in less than 30 minutes right at your own facility without tedious sample preparation. This integrated system is a powerful new tool that can help operators optimize water treatment at the plant and evaluate water age in the distribution system for improved control over the formation of
THMs. Visit Stand 76 at WWEM (2nd-3rd November), to find out how this innovative product could help ensure the safety of public drinking water.”

80 GHz radar now gets Bluetooth with Ex approval V
www.cynergy3.com
EGA Bluetooth communications have been a standard option across the whole range of plics® transmitters since March this year and it is also
backward compatible to all sensors supplied since 2002. It features secure 64 bit encryption and pairing using Apps or PC USB dongle via PACTware. Up until now, it has only been available for safe area devices.
Adding yet another new option for the new 80 GHz radar level sensors VEGAPULS 64 (liquids) and 69 (bulk solids), they have added ATEX / IECEx: Ex ia, Ex ia/t (Dust) FM: OL, XP, DIP approvals. This enables the easy set up and sensor management using EX capable tablets and smartphones, run by Android, with Bluetooth 4.0 via the VEGA TOOLS App. They can also be operated via a magnetic pen through a window. This range of product compatibility and dual capability is yet another world first from VEGA.
This option means ‘hot work’ permits may not be needed, as no covers are removed or wires connected to sensors or signal cables. Engineers can work from safer locations, possibly even outside clean rooms in electronics, industries,
pharma and food saving time and
increasing safety.
