Ocean Optics Diffuse Reflectance Probe provides measurement consistency

Low-cost Series DP700 With Two New Models

range of power supplies, providing outstanding performance and functionality in the low-cost class. The devices have been developed for optimum ease of use when used in research, development and all laboratory applications. The DP700 series is Rigol's latest generation of power supplies and offers the best value for money. The new devices of the DP700 series have an output power of up to 150 W, an excellent control behavior, very good transient response (<50 s) and low residual ripple (DP711: <500 Vrms / 3mVpp,> 2 mA rms and DP712: <500 Vrms / 4 mVpp,> 2 mA rms). The devices also have efficient protection against overvoltage, overload and overtemperature. In addition, a 3.5" TFT screen is installed, where all settings, measured values and waveforms can be displayed clearly (V/A/W).

igol Technologies, a leading manufacturer of test and measurement equipment, has expanded its

he Ocean Optics Diffuse Reflectance Probe (DR-Probe) measures 45-degree diffuse reflectance, enhancing UV-Vis and NIR spectroscopy results. This sampling tool removes localized variance in reflectance measurements. It is suitable for applications such as colour analysis, material identification and food quality monitoring. The DR-Probe integrates a light source and collection optics into one unit to measure 45-degree diffuse reflectance. With the probe¹s collection optics fixed in place relative to the light source, the measurement geometry is constant. An included standoff accessory ensures a consistent 40 mm focal length between the probe and the sample. Sampling uniformity increases the reliability and consistency of measurement results. The DR-Probe has rugged, all-metal construction for durability in the lab or field. Its 6W tungsten halogen bulb has a 10,000-hour lifetime. Compatible with Ocean Optics Visible and NIR spectrometers and accessories, the DR-Probe integrates seamlessly into experimental setups.

eggitt’s HV (high voltage) isolated sensors are designed for vibration monitoring in high electromagnetic environments commonly found near

wind turbines, including the base and nacelle, and rotating machinery such as bearings, gearboxes. The rugged design and high performing components of the HV series ensures reliable operation in harsh electromagnetic environments without communication loss or delays. The sensing element is isolated from the sensor base and casing to offset the effect of high voltage and electromagnetic interference (EMI) often found in wind turbines and VFD/SCR controllers. An isolated pellet offers extra protection for internal electronics. Ceramic housings and hermetic sealing provides isolation up to 6,000 volts promoting long-term stability. Low frequency models have superior performance down to 0.1 Hz.

One Series Safety Transmitter Wins 2016 exida Safety Award

Transmitter — the first SIL 2-certified transmitter designed solely for functional safety applications. The One Series Safety Transmitter (ST) is the first transmitter to incorporate a logic solver and high capacity safety relay output (SRO) in addition to an industry standard transmitter – all in one explosion- proof enclosure. As a global leader in safety and cybersecurity certification for the process industries, exida provides companies around the world with guidance in functional safety, alarm management, and automation system design. UE is honoured that the One Series Safety Transmitter has been recognised for its one of a kind safety capability by an organisation with exida’s stature in the industry. We are grateful that exida sees the potential of its functionality and ability to simplify safety system designs.

Mass Flow Meters And Controllers

D

ue to the tremendous growth of chocolate variations,

using flavors and functional

ingredients, mass flow meters and controllers find their way into the confectionery industry. Due to their accurate and stable features, especially when they are used in combination with a pump, low flow mass flow meters and controllers using the Coriolis principle are ideal for dosing flavors and functional ingredients.

The Bronkhorst Coriolis instruments will measure direct mass flow and are independent of fluid properties which means a set point change is possible within seconds and there is no need to disassemble the pump and recalibrate the installation. This is a huge advantage which saves a lot of time, and makes the process much more flexible. Using the Coriolis instruments for additive dosing means less downtime between batches, traceability of ingredients, and higher product consistency and quality.
