High intensity LEDs

transform the test lamp N

ow available from Martindale is the latest generation of Drummond test lamps using high intensity LEDs for live voltage indication. The use of high intensity LEDs has transformed the test lamp, enabling the display of discrete voltages levels over a 360-degree viewing angle, even in bright sunlight and for the most difficult of applications. The visibility from all angles is unique when compared to conventional two pole testers and with no batteries or ranges to worry about, it’s the simplest and safest way to prove dead when carrying out safe isolation procedures. Available to purchase separately, or part of a kit, the MTL10PD and MTL20PD include a proving unit and a combination carry case,

ensuring that

electrical professionals always have their proving unit to hand before and after testing for live voltages.

New torque sensor

has magnetic built-in speed sensor and integral, digital measurement conditioning system

he new Type 4503B torque sensor from Kistler Instruments has a wide measurement range of 0.2 to 5,000 Nm, precision rotational speed/angle measurement and a high speed version of up to 50,000 rpm. The new magnetic speed and angle measurement capability makes the new sensor safe

T

and robust enough for use in contaminated industrial environments. For highly dynamic measurements, the Type 4503B has a cut-off frequency of 10 kHz that may be user customized by an integrated digital low-pass filter and the second measurement range can be flexibly scaled up to a spread of 1:10. This latest torque sensor offers industrial manufacturers the greatest possible dynamics and accuracy combined with fully digital signal transmission which delivers a standard accuracy of 0.05 percent. This allows the user to benefit from sensors that provide a solution tailored to each application.

Market leading attenuation for JSP’s new range of Sonis® Ear Defenders

range of Sonis® Ear Defenders which peaks at an unbeaten SNR of 37. Developed in partnership with a leading research facility in the field of acoustic engineering, this new range meets the needs of an extensive range of industrial applications. This exceptional range of Sonis® Ear Defenders is Kitemarked and meets EN352- 1. The advantages of this range is that it offers a wide spread of attenuation with SNR values between 27 and 37 meaning that selecting the right model to match the wearers requirements is really straightforward. The Sonis® range has been stylishly designed with a traffic light colour code for easy identification and selection. The range moves from the green Sonis® 1 for low level noise to the yellow Sonis® 2 and the orange Sonis® Compact for substantial Industrial noise through to the market leading SNR of 37 for the red Sonis® 3 to protect against extreme industrial noise.

JSP’s Linx launches

lightweight, portable CIJ L

inx Printing Technologies has launched a

compact, portable entry-level Continuous Ink Jet (CIJ) printer to print two line codes.

Linx says that its new Linx 10 will particularly appeal to smaller businesses that need to code products for the first time or whose potential for business growth is hampered by the use of less flexible, non-digital coding methods such as print and apply labelling, stamping or hand applied labels. The Linx 10 is around half the weight and footprint of other CIJ printers and features a carry handle and printhead dock that make it totally portable.

It can be mounted directly onto a conveyor or production line to save even more space. At just 53cm wide and 19cm deep, it can be placed exactly where needed on the line,

while its sturdy

construction ensures that print performance and quality are unaffected by line vibrations.
