ABB introduces new drive for HVAC applications

CSL reach new levels with integrated processing and packaging solutions

C

onveyor Systems Limited (CSL) will exhibit a range of conveyors and innovative vertical

transport systems at the PPMA Total Show 2016, including the Qimarox Prorunner Mk1 and versatile Ambaflex spiral elevator/ lowerator that can be easily integrated into a conveyor system to provide efficient handling solutions. The high quality robust Prorunner Mk1 vertical product elevator is compact in design and requires a minimal footprint for installation. Available in multiple configurations to suit the application, the lift can easily elevate boxes, crates, totes and sacks weighing up to 100kg, with up to 650 movements per hour. The lift's unique design ensures silent movement with minimum maintenance requirements and unlike chain lifts, does not require lubricating or tightening. CSL will also showcase the versatile, energy efficient, space saving spiral elevators/ lowerators from Ambaflex.

he ABB HVAC drive, ACH580, is designed specifically for a wide range of HVAC applications. With harmonic mitigation, an intuitive operating panel and native BACnet (and Modbus) communications, the drive is suited for the uninterrupted performance required of mission-critical applications such as hospitals and data centres, while achieving the ambient comfort necessary for maximum productivity in commercial buildings, such as offices and schools. The drive operates accurately with any type of HVAC motor, including induction, permanent magnet and synchronous reluctance (SynRM) motors. It can also be integrated with any major automation system, communicates in familiar HVAC languages, controls motors up to 250 kW and is plug-in-ready to install. A streamlined HVAC-specific menu and control panel assistants allow quick and easy commissioning. Industry needs such as PID loop controllers and motor heating capabilities are built-in, standard features.

In addition to the heat retention and contamination protection already mentioned, the curtain has helped to contain the noise of the machinery in the area, maintaining enjoyable working conditions in the adjacent warehouse area where polyolefin technical textiles are stored.

Established in 1792, Don and Low Ltd, which has been part of Thrace Group since 1999, has experienced a great deal of international success due to its reputation for quality, technology and customer service.

Nicholas Forth, Technical Sales Engineer at Union Industries,

said: “Our ability to create bespoke products that meet the specific needs of clients is something we pride ourselves on – we don’t produce a ‘one size fits all’ solution and instead take the time to generate the perfect product for each of our customers.

from its warehouse, eliminating heat and dust ingress, thus allowing its specialist non-woven products to be created in an optimal environment.

Union’s bespoke Industrial Curtain system features a translucent upper section of fabric which helps to improve the light transfer efficiency in the manufacturing area – an important feature for Don and Low Ltd. The Dividing Curtain also has two PVC Strip Curtain access points for forklift trucks and pedestrian traffic.
