In the wake of the recent automotive emissions scandals, air pollution control has again taken ‘centre stage’. The challenge of minimizing the environmental impact of industrial processes has never been greater as mandatory emissions threshold limits are driven ever lower. Of major concern are particulate matter and toxins emanating from thermal processes. The majority of particulates can be removed effectively by gas scrubbing in its variety of forms and modern scrubbing liquids are commonly tailored to the pollutants being removed. JSP launch VisiliteTM Fibre Optic Illumination system for Evolution® Helmets


VisiliteTM. This fibre optic lighting system has been developed as a method of increasing worker visibility without dazzling colleagues in close proximity. The VisiliteTM has tough ABS casings making it highly durable to withstand knocks and scrapes. It is easy to fit to the JSP Evo range of Helmets -clips slide onto the front sides and rear of the helmet to keep it in place allowing fibre optic light to shine all around the helmet. The VisiliteTM offers three lighting modes - static, fast flash or slow flash to suit the user's needs and is visible up to 50M. LED lights shine low level light down the fibre optic which is refracted by the engraved logos on the flexible optic strip. The unit is USB rechargeable, comes with a Micro USB cable and can be charged whilst fitted to the helmet.

SP Ltd has launched a unique new lighting system for their Industrial Safety helmets called the


evonshire Pine have completed the installation of 4 large VertEx dust extraction units, creating a wide area dust control zone in previously unused warehouse space. Devonshire Pine are one of the largest employers in North Devon and manufacture a wide range of quality pine and oak furniture. When faced with a dust issue in their finishing shop, they contacted AirBench Ltd, who were asked to specify a solution that not only solved the dust issue but also worked within Devonshire’s space constraints. Because of these constraints, and the size of the items being worked, traditional extraction systems had proved ineffective. AirBench Ltd recommended the installation of multiple VertEx modular dust extraction systems.
