PREPARING FOR THE INTERVIEW
Once your resume has been sent to employers, representatives will review and decide which students to invite for interviews. Employers typically contact students directly by phone or email to arrange the interview. Please be prepared for the interview!
Making Interview Arrangements Record a professional voicemail message for your phone. Check email daily. Confirm the date and time of the interview. Clarify if the interview is virtual or in person. Ask for the name and phone number of the interviewer when scheduling interview.
Obtain clear directions and parking information. If possible, make a trial run to the company; allow for traffic during rush hour. If you are unable to interview for any reason at your scheduled time, be sure to contact the employer as soon as possible. Please DO NOT BE A “NO SHOW.” In the event you are not able to make your interview appointment, reach out to the prospective employer and ask to reschedule. Preferably, you should do this well ahead of interview time.
