Designed by Adam Tihany, Oro (which means gold in Italian) features a wine cellar with more than 1,000 labels. Te chef, Davide Bisetto, who earned a Michelin star at Il Carpaccio in Paris, has returned to his Venetian roots. Some of his menu specials include turbot, cooked in prosecco with black truffle shavings; asparagus coat- ed in three sauces – red, white and black; red mul- let served with purple gnocchi; and baby squid with poached pears in a port wine sauce. Take the free hotel shuttle boat from San Marco. Tis is a great place to really splurge and enjoy the spectacular setting over-
