(unfortunately for our readers, off-the- record ones). Of ongoing projects, MDM Bank
reached a milestone in its software con- solidation project, with CFT-Retail Bank replacing a legacy retail software solution from Unisab. UBS, the Moscow-based subsidiary of the Swiss banking group, has completed the implementation of a range of CFT-Bank modules including multi- currency accounting, clearing and settlement, interbank and inter-branch payments, and securities. ‘This project is interesting for us as UBS has extensive competencies in the fund market, and our system has been adapted to support the specifics of trading and investment banking operations. CFT-Bank can now support up to one million broker deals per day,’ says Fomichev. UBS is a long-standing user of ERI’s Olympic core banking system across a number of its international opera- tions (Russia used to be among these).

There was also a handful of Flextera deals outside the SLT scope, for front and middle office functionality, e.g. a project to implement the AML, FATCA and reporting modules at National Settlement Depository, Russia’s central securities depository (CSD) and part of the Moscow Exchange Group. Diasoft’s Kryuchkov comments that

services is a must-have for all banks today,’ he states. Similar to Temenos, Diasoft is keen on pushing a progressive renova- tion strategy, highlighting the compo- nent-based nature of its software. Of the SLT deals, all but one were in Russia, but the vendor is making headway in the emerging markets of Asia. In 2014, a new core banking software deal came from Mongolia, and Kryuchkov adds that the vendor is pursuing opportunities this year in Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Bangla- desh. In Russia, Diasoft’s entire haul for 2014
came from Moscow-based institutions. Ergobank, ND-Bank and Tenderbank were
