Chase banks on online reboot


Chase has redesigned its website, chase. com, the first such overhaul in 10 years. It will out new account features to millions of customers across the US in the next few weeks and will bring all 33 million regular users to the new look site later this year. “Customers continually seek easy ways to access their accounts, so we’re making it easier for customers to bank their way,” says Gavin Michael, Head of Digital for Chase. “We’re excited to bring the look and feel that customers love on the new chase.com home page to behind the sign in experi- ence.” The mobile optimised site, available in both English and Spanish, includes such features as Cut to the Chase (customers can get a snapshot of all their accounts on one page as soon as they sign in. And they can click on different tiles to adjust their details and account view). They can also pay bills, pay another person and transfer money all in one place.


Scott Thompson ICICI Bank scores a core banking systems first


India’s ICICI Bank has launched iWork@ home, an initiative which will enable female employees to work remotely for long periods of time, up to a year initial- ly. They will be provided access to their required operating systems via a technol- ogy platform developed in house by ICICI Bank in partnership with students from IIT, Delhi. notes that although women form 48% of the Indian population, their representation in the workforce is much lower than men. Many women who join the workforce are sometimes forced to take a break or even leave their jobs (maternity leave, childcare etc). And a lack of a support system further accentuates the problem. “To ensure that working women do not leave the work- force, there is a strong need for a robust support system, both at home and at work. iWork@home is a unique programme,

whereby women can contribute to the best of their abilities even while working from home. Women employees can avail of this programme for an extended period of time, depending on their needs.
