Christian Fellowship Chapel Winnipeg, Manitoba John Harwood, Pastor We have granted several scholarships to


our youth for education/ministry related pursuits, and one of our youth traveled to Guatemala on a mission trip with his school. Tis summer, for the first time in


many years, Christian Fellowship Chapel will host a DVBS in order to reach out to our neighborhood families. Carolyn Reimer is organizing this with the theme “Barnyard Roundup.” Our congregation will participate once


again in the local South Osborne Biz Festival with a booth and dunk tank. Last year our pastor took the dunk, all in the name of making CFC more visible in our community. New members: Four in April and May Linda Edwards, Correspondent


Evangelical Bible Church Dallas, Oregon Jerry Franz, Pastor We were very pleased to be able to


celebrate Anna Funk’s 102nd birthday on April 18. Anna is EBC’s oldest living member. Our Healthcare Committee hosted


a workshop on Advanced Directives in April. A portion of this workshop dealt with how to identify when a person may be in need of help, particularly those who suffer with dementia. Te support group we offer for those who are caregivers has been well received. Women’s Ministry hosted a May


Festival Dinner with the theme “Joy in Simplicity.” Tis event has grown from a


Mother’s Day event to a popular outreach into our community. Dr. Carmen Imes from Multnomah gave an encouraging and enlightening discussion of “A Simple Path to Joy.” She spoke of the gate of honesty, the crossroads of gratitude and the bend in the road that we all come to: entitled faith. A team of four women worked toward


a short-term mission trip to Bolivia to help assemble books for the Chimane tribe that our missionaries Dan and Judy Burke work with. Te team was able to raise $2088 for this book project in addition to the funds they needed for the trip. Te money will be used to help fund the printing, binding and distributing of Bibles and books for indige- nous people in Bolivia. Te women leſt for Bolivia May 18 and returned May 31. A fun evening was shared to celebrate


our High School Youth Group. We got to see and hear highlights from the year from several of the group who shared their experiences. And we honored the 2016 Senior Class and learned of their plans for aſter graduation.


Dalmeny Bible Church Dalmeny, Saskatchewan Dennis Friesen, Pastor Approximately 170 ladies gathered


together at DBC for the Dalmeny Annu- al Ladies Salad Fiesta outreach on April 30. Guest speaker was Debra Prosofsky and the feature was a fashion show by Clothing Obsession. Ladies had a choice of two sittings, noon or evening. Men participated in a work week-


end to help rebuild Neimeben Canoe and Bible Camp which was destroyed by fire last summer. Our church joined Dalmeny Com-


munity Church to provide a continen- tal breakfast and service in the park on the Sunday of Dalmeny Days Weekend in June for the community. Five ladies from our congregation


are raising money to join Freedom Climb. Teir goal is to climb a moun- tain in British Columbia in August to support the battle against slavery and oppression to women and children.


We will host a Soccer Camp


through Athletes in Action in August for children age 6-12. Baptisms: Tree in June New Members: Nine in June Marilyn Harder, Correspondent


Crosspoint Bible Church Bennington and Omaha, Nebraska Don Pahl, Pastor For the summer months, Crosspoint


will have one combined Sunday School class for all ages (children through adults). We’ll be asking the question, “What does it take to be a hero?” Te theme “Big Hero 9” is based on qualities found in nine different Bible characters. Our hope is that children, youth and adults alike will be challenged to live out their faith in heroic ways by applying biblical principles to everyday situations they encounter. “Ocean Commotion” VBS is coming to


Crosspoint June 13-17. Kids will dive deep into the account of Noah and the flood from the book of Genesis as they learn to stand for God, obey God, trust God, thank God, and fear God. We’re preparing for a boatload of fun with over 125 kids! Congratulations to two of our pastors!


Pastor Kevin Stone graduated from Grace University with a Bachelor of Science in Christian Ministries and Biblical Studies. Pastor Josh Klein graduated from Sioux Falls Seminary with a Masters of Divinity. Tanks to a scholarship from Sioux Falls Seminary, Pastor Josh will study at Jerusa- lem University College in Israel for three weeks this summer. Sherrie Lindsey, Correspondent


Salem Church Waldheim, Saskatchewan Darrell Derksen, Pastor Te town wide CSB boys club enjoyed
