LivingKitchen once again brought together all the design trends in the kitchen sector, with over 200 exhibitors gathering in Cologne to show the latest kitchen products, designs and innovations to over 100,000 trade visitors. Design has become a key driver for the leading kitchen show, held in co-location with imm cologne: good concepts, the integration of technical and multimedia features, the use of new materials, collaborations with renowned international designers and architects – all this makes LivingKitchen one of the most important barometers of trends in the kitchen sector for trade visitors. LivingKitchen 2017 offered an excellent opportunity


to numerous foreign companies, which embody the highest standards of quality and design, to establish contacts with new target markets – without having to visit many small, local fairs. Of the 104,000 trade visitors, around 56,000 came

from Germany and approximately 48,000 from abroad (an increase of 4 per cent). Within Europe, increases in visitor fi gures were recorded in particular from Spain (up 25 per cent), Russia (up 26 per cent), Italy (up 19 per cent) and the UK (up 13 per cent). Visitor numbers from the Netherlands and Poland also increased. Numbers of overseas trade visitors rose, in particular visitors from China (up 5 per cent), South Korea (up 12 per cent) and India (up 5 per cent). A rise was also recorded in visitor numbers from the Middle East (up 19 per cent), with particularly strong growth from the United Arab Emirates. With these excellent numbers of foreign visitors, the two trade fairs are sure to boost exhibitors’ exports.
