BRITISH AIRWAYS A YEAR OF MIXED FORTUNES. 16.45-17.30 – CEO of British Airways, Alex Cruz, has had his hands full this year with some pretty thorny issues, fi rst the major computer outage in May and then a cabin crew strike. On the other hand he’s been driving changes in the business to put it in good shape to compete successfully in markets where Low Cost Carriers have gained the upper hand. Not easy when at the other end of the spectrum BA needs to up its game to fend off increasing competition for the loyalty of premium customers.
