International presents the Top 100 City Destinations Ranking report, incorporating Global Travel Trends. Working together for 12 years, WTM London and Euromonitor International have been at the forefront of accurately predicting major travel trends around the world, looking at how the travel industry is developing in a rapidly changing landscape. City destinations are at the forefront of tourism growth, but are also dealing with challenges concerning overcrowding and mobility. Many of the trends discussed in this report are borne out of the opportunities and challenges that cities face. The focus will then go to sustainability and Responsible Tourism Advertising: An earlier Nielsen study showed that consumer brands that demonstrate commitment to sustainability outperform those that don’t. Using ‘big data’ and case studies to provide insights into how sustainability is represented in above-the-line advertising and what the travel industry can take into consideration when shifting its marketing focus onto Responsible Tourism.
