25th IFHE Congress in a ‘Land Down Under’
The Institute of Healthcare Engineering, Australia (IHEA), is pleased to invite you to the 25th Congress of the International Federation of Hospital Engineering (IFHE), which will be held from 6-11 October 2018 at Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, Australia.
The congress theme is ‘Healthcare Engineering – Building on Sustainable Foundations’, which is relevant to all health facility professionals from all sectors of the healthcare industry. Between 400 and 600 delegates are expected to attend from all over the world including Europe, UK, Latin America, US, Canada, South Africa and Asia. We also anticipate attracting a large number of delegates from our local region, Asia Pacific and New Zealand.
Call for abstracts The IHEA offers authors the opportunity to share their vision and experience on topics that align with the congress theme ‘Healthcare Engineering – Building on Sustainable Foundations’. These include: l safety, quality and risk l emerging health technologies l sustainability and energy efficiency l healthcare planning, design and construction
l management and operation of healthcare facilities
l case studies and other topics of interest.
If your abstract covers more than one of the topics listed above, please indicate each of the areas suited to your abstract in the comments field on submission.
Mode of presentation Presentations may be made in one of the following formats: l oral presentation (20 minutes) l oral presentation (30 minutes).

#IFHEcongress Co-conference – 42nd IHF Congress
The IHEA and the Australian Hospital and Healthcare Association (AHHA) are delighted to advise that the IFHE Congress 2018 will be held in conjunction with the 42nd International Hospital Federation World Hospital Congress. The AHHA will be hosting the IHF Congress at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre from 10-12 October, which will provide a unique opportunity to bring together two world class congresses associated with the healthcare and hospital sectors. Experts associated with healthcare engineering and hospital policy, operation and management will be in one place, creating an exceptional opportunity to share knowledge and experiences and to network with global peers.
