oth the north and south of the island were well-represented at the All Ireland & UK Mushroom Conference and Trade Show. Growers from Eng- land were few and far between – maybe because the majority of the English mushroom growing industry is actually in Irish hands? The trade fair also had delegates from the USA, Ireland, the Netherlands and Poland.
Mush TV and fuel
As representatives of Mush TV , Helen Grogan from Teagasc and Mairead Kilpatrick from the Northern Irish AFBI kicked off the technical proceedings with a update summary of the research and results of this European-wide study that is being performed under the name MushTV (see also Mushroom Business 70). According to Grogan, this successful study is nearing completion. “But we hope that MushTV will be continued as it is a prime example of good cooperation.” The results have been published on
