Alfred Edward Pronger Jr., 93, Stratford, died March 17, 2014. He was boas born June 14, 1920, on Pronger Brothers nch southwes
est of Stratford. He was chiildldren bo as the younges born to Fred and Ivie Pronger. He bega est of fi ve gan his formal
education at the one room Pronger school located on the ranch. He graduated from Stratford High School and Texas A&M. Upon graduation in 1942, he enlisted in the Army. He served in the Anti-Aircraft Artillery in New Guinea and the Philippines. Upon his discharge at the end of World War II, he returned to the family ranch.
He married Jimmie Ruth Herring of Tyler on June 8,
1947. Together, they raised 5 children. Jimmie preceded him in death on Oct. 27, 2006. Under his management, Pronger Brothers Ranch was recognized by the American Hereford Association and Texas Department of Agriculture for more than 100 years of continuous operation. da
He is survived by daughters Jana Pronger, Borger and Jiilll (John) Kiilllliian of the ranch; sons Fred (Marsha) Pronger, Jeff Pronger, of the ranch, and David (Karen) Pronger, Bur- leson; and numerous other relatives.

Ethel May and Gilbert Mann. He graduated from Claren- don High School. At the age of 16, he began working on the wagon at the historic JA Ranch during the summers and became a full-time hand upon graduation. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1952; after his service, he returned to JA Ranch as the wagon boss and later became foreman. He married Evelyn Wood in April 1955 and they began
their own farming and ranching operation in 1969. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn, son, Mark (Briss)
Mann, Lubbock, and numerous other relatives. Memorials may be made to the Karen Camille Miller Scholarship Memorial Fund at Clarendon College or the First Bt Baptist Ct Church of Clarendon.

Dax Howard Pass, 44, died Sept. 6. He was born May 30, 1972, in Dallas to Lynda McKnight and the late J.T.
Pass. He graduated from Highland Park High School, and studied business at the University of Arkansas and Texas Christian University.
