With a reputation for the importance the company attaches to producing very well-fitting, tough and long-lasting clothing, designed for almost every type of work situation, Engel’s new LIGHT range maintains the same levels of protection and practical benefits as its more traditional collections, but now offers a ‘trendier’ look.

Perfect for all-round protection in the warmer months or in close, indoor temperatures, they have elasticated, soft Neoprene straps with dust and particle-resistant fastenings, which allow them to be worn on bare skin without chafing, or are equally effective worn over trousers, staying in the correct position in either case, when kneeling, walking or sitting.
The pads have a water-resistant covering and a soft breathable, inner fabric that wicks away sweat whilst providing thermal protection from warm or cold surfaces. Scientifically proven to reduce point pressure and distribute weight evenly, the impact forces associated with kneeling are absorbed giving added protection against back and neck pain.

Typical attention to detail includes the Galaxy work jacket (1290-880) having adjustable sleeve cuffs, neat and stylish reflectors front and rear, an extended, pleated back for increased freedom of movement and additional protection, a panel covering the front zipper, and numerous pockets some fastened with either Velcro or zips. There is even a strap with a D-ring on the right breast pocket for attaching an ID card.
Similarly the Galaxy LIGHT work trousers (2501-525) are designed for optimal fit with with two side pockets plus two back pockets, the right one with Velcro closure; there are additional pockets to cater for most needs throughout the working day, including knee pockets over a reinforced knee area with LOXY High Viz safety reflectors. The trousers have a water, dirt and oil repellent finish and are available in a number of different sizes; there’s a choice of colours in flourescent Orange/ Navy or Yellow/Navy.
