The Health & Safety Conference Theatre will host The British Safety Council Conference where content will include the very popular mock Health & Safety trials facilitated by international law firm Pinsent Masons. These sessions are designed to give visitors insight into a real life court case and provide a unique opportunity


At the Safer Logistics area, Nick Welch, Technical Director, RTITB will present on ‘Taking a Proactive Approach to Safety,’ while Glen Davies, Transport & Logistics Safety Forum, CILT will present on Raising Awareness of Safety on the Road.


In the Fire Safety Conference Theatre there will be a live demonstration of protecting against chemical explosions and Gary Hicks will present a session on Evacuating Buildings during a terrorist attack.


In the Cleaning Conference Theatre Dianna Steinbach, Director of Europe, Middle East, Africa Member Services for ISSA, the worldwide cleaning industry association will deliver ‘The Value of Clean’ bringing global


insights to the local level and looking at challenges and opportunities facing the cleaning industry. And Kris Robertson, TASKI Leader UK & Ireland Diversey, Sealed Air Group, will look at how robots could change the way we clean and re-classify what a cleaning professional is. Kris will focus on the impact robotics will have on quality, cost and sustainability.


In the Maintenance Conference Theatre Bryan Buchan, Chief Executive of Scottish Engineering, the primary voice of manufacturing engineering north of the border, will outline the key challenges and opportunities in the Scottish manufacturing sector, before focussing on the enormous potential of Internet-of-Things-enabled technologies in industrial sectors.
