Hello and welcome to the April/May issue of Tomorrow’s Care.

Spring is racing by and has brought with it some big news within the UK health and social care sector; one of the biggest announcements being that of the Spring Budget 2017. With an additional £2billion set aside for adult social care spending as well as a £425million investment in the NHS over the next three years, the future appears to look bright for the health and social care industry and it will be interesting to see the developments that come as a result of this funding. Tomorrow’s Care will strive to bring you all the latest news and developments on this topic as they unfold.

As usual, this issue is bursting with the latest news, products and developments form the forefront of the care industry, as well as a specific focus on Mental Health; Washrooms and Legionella Control; Fitness and Exercise; and Technology.

From exercise tips from the UK’s oldest personal trainer to advice on safeguarding from a top solicitor, the experts are out in force to share their knowledge and skills to help you provide the highest possible standards of care. You can also take a look at the latest products from big names including Sky, Kaivac and MIRA and find out how they can make your job easier and more thorough.

Elsewhere, we have features from the likes of the Key Safe Company, which discusses the issue of ‘bed blocking’ in hospitals, and Clugston Construction, which looks at a care home project helping to meet the increasing demand for care home stock.

Sadly, this will be my last issue as Editor of Tomorrow’s Care as I will soon be moving on to pastures new. Before I sign off, I'd just like to say it's been a fascinating and rewarding experience working alongside all of the industry's professionals. The care industry has progressed with leaps and bounds in the time I've been a part of it and it is exciting to think about what the future holds.

I hope you enjoy the issue and I wish you all the best of luck in the future! Editor’s Voice
