On November 17th, Kärcher’s ride-on sweeper, the KM 125 will make its English debut alongside the new two-man cab municipal vacuum sweeper, the MC 130, at the legendary Brooklands racetrack site in Weybridge, Surrey. Here they tell us a bit more about what we can expect from their latest roadshow.
The fantastic Mercedes-Benz World venue is a celebration of engineering excellence and pioneering heritage akin to Kärcher's own: the inventors of the hot water pressure washer, at the home of the inventors of the motor car.
And like Mercedes, whose products have pushed the boundaries of innovation all the way up to this year's F1 championship-winning car, in the 80 years since Alfred Kärcher founded the business, the family- run firm's innovations, expertise and breadth of product range has gone from strength to strength.
The result of constant research and development, Kärcher machines, from tub vacs to automatic truck washes, feature numerous patented technologies with speed, performance, ergonomics and endurance at their heart – and a definite automotive theme.
KM 125/130 INNOVATIONS

Impact Protection: Patented Rear Brush mounting position Kerbs, obstacles and speed bumps are easily navigable thanks to the unique position of the main brush between the rear wheels; this both protects the brush and gives easy access for inspection or service.
Traction Control: TEACH function As the machine is turned on, the main brush lowers automatically. In doing so, the machine measures when the bristles reach the ground, and calculates the ideal brush contact pressure – factoring in any brush wear – for optimal results.
Telemetry: Kärcher Fleet Remote, real-time machine data allows managers to maximise performance by allocating resources where they are needed, monitor if machines are being used as planned, be informed if areas or shifts are missed or the machine is stolen and proactively instigate preventative maintanance.
MC 130 INNOVATIONS
The Weigh In: Pavement friendly Low net weight ensures this new vacuum sweeper is pavement friendly and – with a 1,100kg total permissible load weight – significantly reduces disposal trips.
Cockpit: Simple controls easily to hand Intuitive operation via a multi- functional display in the centre of the steering wheel allows safe vehicle control. Easily adjust sweeping system elements from the ergonomic armrest control and operators can even save favourite settings to a short-cut key to immediately get to work.
Quick Pit Stops: Get set, Go! The quick-change system uses the attachment mounting space on the

trailer and the vehicle's hydraulic system to switch between implements. This makes conversion easy and effortless, providing a high level of service friendliness and ergonomics.
Alongside the KM 125, MC 130 and a selection of best in class solutions from its full range, Kärcher will also be introducing compact cage cold water pressure washers, independent hot water trailer solutions and a new step- on scrubber dryer you can put through its paces on an indoor track at the Mercedes World event.
