CONTRACT CLEANING THE PERFECT MATCH
Five months after winning the contract to clean Allianz Park, the home of 2015 Rugby Premiership Champions Saracens, we caught up with TC Facilities Management to find out how the contract was progressing, and what went into securing the deal.
In August of last year, TC Facilities Management (TCFM) was successful in a bid to win the cleaning contract at Allianz Park, the home of 2015 Rugby Premiership Champions, Saracens. The contract ensures that TCFM now provides all area cleaning at the north London stadium, along with supplying Match Day services to clean the 10,000 seater.
Alongside this, the contract includes the day-to-day cleaning of the ground’s conferencing, hospitality and general stadium areas, along with the attached retail store. TCFM has experience in the Sport and Leisure industry, having already held contracts with Premier League sides Watford and West Ham United.
Speaking back in August, after the contract win, Alex MacIntyre, Stadium Manager at Allianz Park, said: “There were two key reasons why we awarded the contract to TCFM. Firstly, the importance they placed on being part of our team, and secondly their commitment to delivering the contract through our values of Honesty, Humility, Work Rate and Discipline.”
The services provided by TCFM in the contract include cleaning, facilities management and washroom services, as well as security, window and cladding cleaning and gum and graffiti removal. Mark Parish,

Therein lay the challenge for TCFM, as what happens behind the scenes at sporting venues can have as much of an impact on the guest experience as the game or event that they come to see. Therefore it is important for the cleaning contractors to provide an environment that contributes to a superb and memorable customer experience.
However, during their work not only with Saracens, but with other sporting outfits, TCFM has effectively engaged with the venues to ensure that they add value at every stage. Every sporting venue up and down the country is unique in that it requires an individual and bespoke solution, and TCFM feel that they know that the right people, equipment and use of appropriate methods of
operation are key to delivering the right solution every time.
The company’s expertise ranges from traditional capabilities like cleaning, snow removal, and security, to more forward-thinking support structures that include integrating the right FM systems to ensure the highest standards of service delivery are met.
For the contract at Allianz Park, a dedicated management team was put in place to invigorate the FM team and ensure that all services were delivered to mutually agreed goals in accordance with the operational requirements of the contract.
This approach resulted in TCFM being considered to be an invaluable part of an integrated team that contributes to delivering a memorable event to guests at every game. Some of the key highlights of what the company has been able to achieve included consistent high performance against agreed KPIs, development of further services on-site that add to guests’ experiences of each event and engagement with the FM and broader event stakeholder team. Their methods have also resulted in greater cost efficiencies for the client.
