ACADEMY FOR EXCELLENCE IN

FLOORING EXCELS The UK’s premier manufacturer-backed training and development centre, the Academy for Excellence in Flooring received extraordinary interest in its range of courses for the installation of laminate, wood and vinyl flooring from beginner through to expert at The Flooring Show.

With the Quick-Step Master Installer scheme now in its third year of operation, interest from retailers and installers at this year’s show was exceptionally high. Keen to learn about the benefits of the scheme that certifies workmanship for two-years, visitors also discovered the many other opportunities available at the academy.

“It was great to tell installers and retailers about the Academy and how we are working hard to raise professional standards within the industry,” said Lee Thompson, technical and procurement manager for the Academy. “We’ve come away from The Flooring Show delighted that our message about improving installation standards for the benefit of all is gaining ground.”

LEOLINE LIGHTS UP

THE SHOW With a reputation for comfort, style and value, Leoline cushion floors are a powerful addition to any retailer looking to capitalise on this growing segment, as the brand of IVC Group revealed at The Flooring Show.

As market share of cushion flooring continues to grow, Leoline demonstrated to retailers visiting the exhibition the importance of dedicating enough shop floor space to cushion flooring collections. With realistic stone, architectural, tile and wood effects, Leoline cushion flooring can help to transform interiors, bringing popular natural looks that are combined with the low maintenance, comfort and daily toughness of cushion flooring.

Supported by a website that features a free-to-use sample service for homeowners and regular media activity, Leoline promoted its high-impact display that features all of the nine collections available from the brand:

With first class facilities and course content that constantly evolves with the input of attendees and the latest in installation innovations, the Academy has now passed over 400 Master Installers across the UK. All Master Installers are provided with a suite of benefits, including the Quick-Step backed workmanship warranty, full sampling and technical support, as well as being listed on the Quick-Step website that receives several thousand unique visitors every month.

“The Flooring Show was an ideal opportunity to underline the growing stature of cushion flooring through our impressive display and consumer- focused touch points,” said Victoria Hemelaer, product manager. “We are one of Europe’s biggest cushion flooring brands and so it is important that we continue to deliver the very best in innovation and quality with designs that appeal to a broad customer base. Chatting with retailers, as well as showing some 2015 product launches proved a really useful exercise.”

The new designs include stripped pine, whitewashed and weathered oak, minerals and contemporary tile looks all available in three-different width options and with the underfoot comfort and ease of cushion flooring.

Leoline joined residential brands in Moduleo and Avenue, as well as the Itec Contract Floors commercial brand at this year’s show on a stand designed to showcase the power of flooring from IVC Group.
