Trade-only kitchen specialist, Benchmarx, has committed to ensuring its staff are ready to answer customer queries on flooring by booking eight Academy external training days for 2017.
This continued commitment to a greater understanding of Quick-Step flooring comes on the back of some 140-staff attending the external training programme throughout 2016.
“Thanks to the Academy our members of staff are now confident in dealing with the customer questions we receive on the installation of Quick-Step flooring, such as which underlay to use or what expansion gap is required,” explained Graham Carse, Benchmarx. “The training has also helped staff to deal with specific technical queries relating to the hugely popular Impressive and Livyn ranges. The striking wood and stone decors speak for themselves, but the water and scratch resistant qualities,
along with ease of maintenance attributes make these two collections the ideal kitchen floor. We can now pass on this invaluable information to our customers in a more informed way thanks to the training.”
Through the Academy for Excellence in Flooring and its training programme, Benchmarx will continue to ensure that product and technical knowledge relating to Quick-Step’s laminate, hardwood and luxury vinyl ranges answers the needs of its trade customers.
The Academy for Excellence in Flooring can provide external training programmes with content dedicated to the exact requirements of attendees. Similar courses can also be undertaken at the Academy’s state-of-the-art training facility in Manchester, also host to the Quick-Step Master Installer and Foundation programmes.

MODULYSS SPARKS NEW LIFE IN
GLANBIA OFFICE SPACE Glanbia, the global nutrition company, has called on the services of modulyss and its First Absolute and Xtra Cambridge carpet tile collections to bring its office spaces a striking look that will stand the test of time.
Following a successful modulyss installation at Glanbia’s headquarters in Kilkenny, further modulyss carpet tiles were specified for the organisation’s Dungarvan premises, with the building’s interior schemes updated to be more reflective of the forward-thinking approach of the company.
No less than 1,500m2 of modulyss product was specified by
McLoughlin Architecture, with corridors, meeting rooms and reception spaces among the areas to receive a stunning new look underfoot.

To create the base for the scheme, modulyss First Absolute was selected in its 930 and 912 designs, grey and silver hues respectively that helped to keep proceedings firmly on-trend. This neutral look was interspersed with the accent orange of Xtra Cambridge 25F, with 25cm x 100cm tiles adding even more design edge to the progressive wall-to-wall effect.
