APU 40 ACHTIS
APU 40 is a high quality, 2-component, polyurethane underlayment designed to absorb vibration and reduce noise. Cork granules are encapsulated within the PU creating a flexible interlayer for high-quality polyurethane coatings.
The cork decreases ambient and subsonic noise and increases walking comfort for floors in commercial and domestic settings.
A fluid product applied with a notched trowel to achieve the desired thickness of between 3–5 mm, the superb self levelling qualities of this product have received nothing but praise.
“This is flooring made easy. I've never come across a product that self levels so quickly and easily. The beginning of a run is already levelled before I've got to the end of it," said Alan Burns, Director, Imperial Resin Coatings
APU 40’s high de-formability mean it needs to be used in conjunction with a highly flexible polyurethane topcoat which is why it is paired with APU 45 and sealed with APU 46 pigmented matt sealer. These three products combine to create a stunning, seamless, hard wearing and easy to clean surface making it an ideal product for hospitals, kitchens, offices, gyms, nurseries, hairdressers, surgeries and shops.
Achtis Group designs products and systems with joined-up thinking, taking the needs of the architect, contractor and end user into account. Versatile products that are easy to apply and create stunning finishes designed to last.
AQUA+ EGGER
The recognition of a high demand for wood decors in areas such as the domestic bathroom and commercial areas including hotels, shops and restaurants has led to the innovative aqua+ technology from EGGER. This new product category allows laminate flooring to be installed in bathrooms and wet areas with security and without the use of an additional topcoat or joint sealings.
The secret of the aqua+ technology is an HDF core board with special characteristics. It is five times more resistant to vapour and splash water than regular core boards. Together with the highly water-repellent and tightly closed topcoat, it is this core board which prevents the swelling of boards around the edges. This enables the flooring to be fitted in the same way as regular laminate flooring and in the same amount of time – if not faster thanks to the new UNIfit installation system.
The product is universally suitable for interior rooms and ideal for use in bathrooms, kitchens and entranceways providing security for all involved in the daily use of the flooring. The floors are not, however, intended for permanent use in wet areas for example a shower cubicle or sauna.
The new product category opens the door for customers into new application fields and new possibilities to install laminate flooring in high humidity areas, without having to give up the popular and authentic wooden look. The new EGGER Laminate Flooring 2015-2017 collection offers a wide selection of wood designs with natural surface textures and also tile effect decors.
