Finnish flooring manufacturer, Upofloor, presents its latest contract sheet flooring with Zero PVC, Zero Plasticizers — and Zero worries.
New Upofloor Zero contract sheet flooring offers a tough, resistant surface that is completely eco and user-friendly. Made from an innovation material called Enomer, the flooring contains ‘zero’ PVC, chlorine, plasticizers, phthalates, halogens and heavy metals, promoting healthy indoor air. It is ideal for public spaces with high safety requirements, including hospitals, healthcare facilities and schools.
Upofloor Zero features a mineral-based construction and has an anti-static, ionomer-reinforced surface treatment. In high-traffic environments, it offers excellent durability and flexibility, and it is exceptionally resistant to scratching, staining, bacteria and chemicals. A flexible, homogeneous structure makes installation easy and sheeting can be quickly molded into awkward areas, including floor drains and up onto walls. The Ionomer surface is also easy to maintain and requires no extra treatments; several studies reveal an associated lifecycle cost reduction of up to 80%, compared to other surface treatments.
The Zero colour pallet includes 45 speckled shades — from light, pebble tones, through vibrant primaries, to deep inky shades. Additional benefits include excellent slip resistance and an eco-focused production, in accordance with the EN 14001 standard.

UZIN has developed a revolutionary system for protecting calcium sulphate screeds against residual moisture up to 95% RH. UZIN have been at the forefront of product innovation for all sectors of the flooring industry for over 100 years now, with many of their award-winning products and systems helping to shape the flooring industry.
The industry has seen a growth in the use of anhydrite screeds but has failed to find an answer for adequate protection against moisture. After several years of rigorous testing, UZIN has developed a solution. With a unique system that allows floors to be installed onto anhydrite screeds with residual humidity up to 95% RH. Waiting for damp anhydrite screeds to dry are now a thing of the past. The new Uzin system allows projects to be completed much quicker and avoids long delays.
Flooring contractors can carry out each step of the system quickly and easily with confidence that nothing will go wrong. Previously all that could be done was to wait for the screed to dry out to at least 90% RH, which could take days or even months before work could be started. With penalty charges for contractors on the increase, time on site is becoming less and putting installers under immense pressure to meet tight deadlines at the cost of the finished quality. This fast track system now helps our customers avoid such penalties and provide them with unique options not available from other manufacturers.
