it’s time to announce the winners of act Floors Awards 2017.
the Top 50 products and services that made their mark on the industry over the g number of votes cast, I’m delighted to now reveal the winners.
6 7 2ND PLACE iQ One – Tarkett
In second place we have Tarkett’s iQ One, a new generation, homogeneous, non-PVC flooring product that has been awarded Cradle to Cradle Gold level certification. This recognises that iQ One has been designed to have a positive impact on the environment and human health.
iQ One offers a perfect balance between aesthetics, flexibility and strength for the tough demanding requirements of high traffic areas, education and healthcare facilities.
The collection comes in an extensive array of 38 colours and three non-directional patterns, which can be mixed and matched to create coordinated and harmonious decors.
What they said:
“iQ One is one of Tarkett’s most pioneering products - the first homogeneous floor in the world to win a Cradle to Cradle Gold accreditation. We're thrilled that the flooring has been recognised for its achievements by our peers in the flooring industry and we'd like to thank everyone who voted."
Liz Butcher, UK segment marketing manager (Healthcare and Education) at Tarkett.
“It has fantastic air quality properties
and is something very different from the
standard vinyl flooring.” “Best green, environmentally-
friendly vinyl product on the market.”
“Just tested this
new floor - really awesome great
scratch resistance.” “Hard-wearing
with fab decors to choose from and I love the self-repair capability.”
8 9 10 3RD PLACE DESIGN+FLOORING – EGGER
And taking third place, DESIGN+FLOORING from EGGER; a natural, wood-based flooring with the properties of a plastic- based design floor making it ideal for commercial and residential applications.
The EGGER DESIGN+FLOORING top layer consists of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), an elastic, odourless and low-emission material that’s completely harmless to health. The core consists of a double sealed, high-density, wood- based coreboard - The Ultra Wood Fibre Board (UWF).
The SelfRepair effect means that if there are surface indentations, the molecules ‘remember’ their initial position and return quickly into their original place making the floor look new again.
What they said:
“We are delighted to accept this award for our DESIGN+FLOORING, which launched in the UK in September 2016. It is great to see that our innovative flooring product has been recognised and we would like to thank everyone who has voted. We continue to work hard to bring new innovations to the flooring market and hope to support more customers with our products.”
