Neighbourhood Environmental Teams (NETs).
Our NETs keep neighbourhoods spick and span all year round, looking after green spaces, gardens and backcourts as well as closes. One of our current apprentices Grant Mooney, 19, is working with the NETs and thinks the chance of an Environmental Modern Apprenticeship is not to be missed. He said: “As an apprentice you learn skills which will benefit your future career whatever you do. “For me, it’s about taking personal pride in helping people and making a difference.
“It’s good to be out and
about meeting tenants and helping them out. “People really appreciate what we
do.”
The apprenticeships start in October and last for two years. You don’t need any formal qualifications, just a willingness to learn and a real enthusiasm for making a difference to our communities. If you are aged 16-19 and want to apply, go to www.
wheatley-group.com or call 0141 274 5644 for an application pack. Closing date is 2 September 2016.
