Coming soon: an easier way to pay

WE’RE making it easier and quicker for you to pay your rent. GHA will be introducing a new ‘paperless’ Direct Debit system soon. That means no more having to go to the bank or the post office - and no more filling in forms. You’ll also be able to pay on any day of the month - rather than on certain dates as it is now. The system will be up and running by the end of the summer. GHA’s Andy Ashcroft said: “Direct Debit is the quickest and easiest way to keep on top of your rent. “It takes away a lot hassle for

tenants. “Paperless Direct debit means staff

can set up a Direct Debit quickly and easily - while you’re on the phone or sitting in your living room. “It makes it easier and quicker for GHA staff to help you.” Talk to your housing officer about when you can sign up for paperless Direct Debit.

As well as getting great experience, they’ll also get a qualification at the end of the two-year scheme - helping get their career off to a flying start.

As part of our aim to give people in our homes as many opportunities as we can, the apprenticeships are aimed at tenants of GHA and our partner organisations and their families. GHA environmental boss Alex Adrain said:
