UV-Enhanced Silver Mirror Coatings
Acton Optics & Coatings introduced two new broadband coatings that provide UV refl ectivity while maintaining high refl ectance up to the mid-IR wavelength range. Because standard silver coatings do not refl ect well below 450 nm, aluminum coatings
are oſt en used in the UV. However, because aluminum coatings also have drawbacks in terms of refl ectivity and absorption, Acton Optics & Coatings developed UV-enhanced silver coatings to bridge the gap.
