Vispring Debuts New Carmina Upholstered Bed By Christopher Schriever

In a move to capture a younger consumer, Vispring will unveil a fresh, contemporary bed at the spring High Point Market. Designed in collaboration with French interior designer Terence Mesguich Jacquemin, the fully upholstered Carmina features a sophisticated low-to-the-ground silhouette.

Designed with a built-in spring system that

is more shallow than the company’s more tra- ditional styles, Carmina isn’t short on comfort as it is built to partner perfectly with Vispring’s bespoke mattresses. Like all of the company’s high-end bedding products, Carmina is hand- crafted by expert artisans who are renowned for their craftsmanship and attention to detail. Carmina is designed for consumers with an eye for modern style and clean lines. Crafted with FSC-accredited Scandinavian wood, the bed rests on sleek, chrome legs to exhibit a minimalistic look—while the head- board and footboard both feature a subtle floating detail. The bed can be upholstered in any of Vispring’s extensive Timeless and Local fabric collections.

As the founder and principal of TMJ Design Studio, Jacquemin has previously worked with Vispring on a variety of projects. Most recently, he teamed with the company to update its Timeless fabric collection. The Carmina is the latest addition to the Vispring portfolio of handmade bespoke mat-

tresses, beds and headboards—which are sold in nearly 500 retail outlets in 35 coun- tries across five continents. With this stra- tegic move into more contemporary design, Vispring aims to help retailers appeal to a broader range of consumers. Visit vispring.com

By Gretchen Kast Continuing to expand its Made in the USA fashion bedding and pillow programs, Hallmart Collectibles will introduce nearly 15 new bedding ensembles at the High Point Market this spring. “We are focused on USA production and our customers like what we are doing”, said Jesse Ghalili, Hallmart Vice President of Sales. “Our California design team is up to speed with fashion forward patterns and unique fabrics that keep Hallmart at the head of the curve.” Hallmart is dedicated to delivering Ameri- can-made goods and supports the program

In 2016, Hallmart unveiled a limited as- sortment of higher priced “Black Label” Pillows that received great reviews from customers. “Our customers asked for a selection of step up pillows and we responded with unique patterns and fabrics to their delight,” added Ghalili.

For the High Point Market, Hallmart has also created a full line of Ombre Throws to further enhance its soft home accessories program. Additionally, the company will also showcase its expanded line-up of products made in China. Hallmart’s ‘Country Manor’ program is an extensive collection of value priced adult bedding that was specifically developed to support a wide range of retail operators, from mid-priced to better stores. “Once again,” Ghalili continued, “we are on the leading edge by offering consumers value priced products to current design trends.” Visit hallmartcollectibles.com
