ISSUE 190

APRIL 2017

It’s April O’Neil! I pity the fool who’s not more than ready to get out and about into the sunshine this month, and remind ourselves that there’s a world outside your window. Best you give it a bit of a spring clean though right. This month we plan to celebrate Record Store Day, and, whilst listening to our beautiful new records, keep our eyes peeled for #1babe the Cadbury’s Caramel bunny, who’s no doubt sashaying her way to your expanding paunch with a hip bump and a wink as we speak. Nothing better than banging tunes and sexy seasonal chocolate, amirite.

In this month’s Outline - passionate, independent and in love with Norwich just like always - we asked the people of Norwich who would make a better president than Trump, and spoke to electro wizards The Comet Is Coming, country twins Ward Thomas and eclectic singer songwriter Jesca Hoop, all of whom play here in April.

We big up the wealth of our local musical talent in the form of DJ collective Tropico, acting group Spooky Kid Productions who are doing Zombie: A Musical at the Playhouse, musician and singer Birds of Hell and young spoken word artist Luke Peter Foster. Norwich has it all, yo.

Win tickets to the rootin’ tootin’ Red Rooster Festival, where I sat in the sunshine, listened to some rock n roll and ate the most lipsmackingly delish mac n cheese of my life so far last year. Dem’s the good times. Also find out all about Red Rooster as well as Norfolk and Norwich Festival in our Festival Guide, and find out whether Guardians of the Galaxy II is going to be as good as the first one in our cinema section.

Get out and get all over it Norwich. Da da da da da da da. You’re sweet like chocolate, boy.
