Figure 4: Polished cross section of a shell with Teco-Sil Hybrid+ backup. Despite high lay- er thickness, no distinct layering is visible in this backup, i.e. it’s a healthy shell structure. During sanding, the stucco penetrates very well into the thick layer of fresh slurry on the pattern.
