At Broadstone First School, one of the characteristics that we aim to develop in all learners is that of ‘Aspiration’.


When we think about the characteristic  achieving person springs to mind – but this is not what we mean when we say we want our children to be aspirational. We want them to be inspired to be the best version of themselves they can become; where they are  they wish to succeed.


 with truly inspirational people and experiences. We were treated to an absolute delight when a band made up of former pupils visited our school to lead an assembly and workshop. It was incredible to see how children that had begun their journey with  young adults.


We also welcomed a young baker   especially how he picked himself   was when he presented each class with a cake that he had baked just for them!


We feel passionate about ensuring that all children have access to incredible experiences and have the opportunity to meet people that have overcome setbacks in order to achieve their goal.


We want all learners to think: “Wow – I want to be able to do that!”
