Prayer is central to the life of our churches in every time of worship or prayer. Prayer goes In an age in which many no longer accept any people and institutions offering up prayer. To pray huge amount of work has been done on some stones themselves are more than 4,000 years old, the site itself shows signs of having been in use as a ritual and sacred place for over 10,000 such practices predate civilisation. They suggest that civilisation is formed in community and communities were originally drawn together in the practice of shared ritual.
Lent begins on Wednesday 1st March and focussing on prayer as we go through Lent together. On Wednesdays in Lent, starting on Wednesday 8th March, we will be holding our shared Lent Lunches. Our different churches will take it in turns to run the lunches (which consist of bread, soup and cheese) and they will all be starting at 12 noon. It is a great time to come together to share in a simple meal and a chat and which works in setting up projects to help some of the poorest people in the world. You are all most welcome to join us.
