FROM THE PRINCIPAL Dear Supporters of Saint John’s Preparatory School,

What a year! My first few months at SJP have been tremendous; the aspects of the school that first enticed me - the close community, dedicated and passionate faculty and staff, curious and hard-working students, Benedictine values - as well as the process of strategic planning have solidified my thinking that our school is dynamic and forward-thinking.

Much of my time first semester was spent getting to know our school and its people. From the way our students discussed the Presidential election and celebrated and were disappointed by the results to the entire school participating in an Advising scavenger hunt, I have been nothing short of amazed and impressed by the way our community supports and uplifts each other. Having the opportunity to sit in on classes to witness our students asking insightful questions, making connections between what they are learning in the classroom and life, and the deep care our faculty have for our students is inspirational.

As you know, Saint John’s Prep has a significant history. With your support, we have been able to deliberately reinvent ourselves without diminishing our values and foundation, which has helped to contribute to this history. Thank you; your backing of Prep helps to ensure the opportunity not only for our current students but also for future generations to experience the “Prep way.”

I invite you to see for yourself how your support impacts our school - please consider stopping by and sitting in on a class or sitting in during one of our community gatherings. I am confident that you, too, will be amazed.

Best,

Pamela McCarthy Principal Saint John’s Preparatory School
