Staff Nurse Carmarthen


£21,909 - £28,462 per annum (pro rata) An opportunity has arisen for


an experienced nurse to work within our Coronary Care Unit at Prince Philip hospital and Glangwili Hospital. The area at Prince Philip


hospital consists of 4 acute coronary care beds and have the facility to monitor 14 telemetry beds on an adjoining wards. The Unit at Glangili Hospital


has 12 beds, 6 acute coronary care beds and 6 step down beds. Patients we care for on


both units are admitted with a variety of conditions including myocardial infarction, heart failure, endocarditis, cardiac arrhythmias, cardioversions, pulmonary embolisms and strokes requiring thrombolysis. Patients also wait on the unit


for transfer to the cardiac tertiary centre for further interventions including angiograms, valve replacements and coronary artery bypass grafts and electrophysiological studies. As part of our friendly,


supportive, professional team you will work closely with other specialities within the hospital caring for acutely ill patients who need cardiac monitoring on the unit. We encourage anyone with

for successful applicants. This position is for 22.5 hours and based mainly at Prince Philip hospital. The ability to speak Welsh
