SAN PEDRO — Cabrillo Marine Aquarium reminds the public to save the date for the organization’s 2016 gala on April 30. This year’s “Grand Grunion Gala: An


Abalone Affair” will raise funding for the highly endangered white abalone. The aquarium is one of only two places in the world with a public display of white abalone, according to Cabrillo Marine Aquarium. Guests are encouraged to wear white in honor of the white abalone and enjoy a lively cocktail party, silent auction and behind-the- scenes tour of the aquarium. A dinner, awards program, live auction and dancing is also planned for the special night. The event will be held in an elegant tent
