With this issue we have a lot to celebrate, including two significant anniversaries. Winnipeg

Richardson International Airport’s new terminal just turned five and our partners, Winnipeg Air- ports Authority, will be celebrating 20 years of service to the airport and our community next year. innipeggers have been blessed with a late covering of the white stuff this winter breaking the record of the last measurable snowfall recorded in 144 years! It just goes to show you never know what will happen in Winterpeg. While the snow may be late this year, it is always inevitable. With it comes a diverse set of

t’s the most wonderful time of the year – charter season has just begun, and we’re back in the swing of things at Winnipeg Richardson International Airport during a peak of travel. Tis issue of Te Hub brings a warmer wind with it. Look no further than this issue’s feature, the beautiful city of Abbotsford. Not only is the average temperature a little milder than our

clear, cold Prairie winters, but Abbotsford also has the distinction of being Canada’s most charitable city. Tat won’t be the only thing to warm your heart about the city, so be sure to cozy up with a hot chocolate and indulge in the story — it’ll be worth the visit. If you’re still looking for warmer straits, we also delve into Cuba for some exploration, and a trip

to Walt Disney World near Orlando. We even take a peek at Seattle in our Wayfarer article, wash- ing over readers with the coastal vibes of the Emerald City. Tat’s not to say we’re short on topics for fans of winter: frosty but fun activities at Fort Whyte, a pair of business features, and a compre- hensive list of events in our province make sure we have something for everyone. As the year comes to a close, Winnipeg Airports Authority is preparing to celebrate its 20th an-

niversary in 2017. Tough we make a short mention of our plans in this issue, there’s more to be shared in the coming months. Whether for a trip of your own, seeing loved ones, or business travel, there’s a good chance you’ll

be in the airport at least once in the near future. We hope that your next visit is as delightful as this time of year.
