Please join (us) Bill & Dave Hikes on Saturday, December 3, at Jack London State Historic Park as we climb up to the So- noma Ridge Trail and explore the newly opened East Slope extension to this wonderful trail. Plan on arriving at the upper parking lot by 9:45 AM for a prompt 10 AM departure and note that there is a $10 parking fee. Bring a lunch with lots to drink and wear clothing ap- propriate for the weather, rain or shine.


12 mile hike with an elevation gain of almost 2000 feet. Some of you participated yesterday in an impromptu contest about the weight of Scott Chesnut’s pack. Guesses varied from 25 to 45 pounds. After weighing it, he told us that the actual weight was 28 pounds.
