A WALK ALONG NEWBOROUGH BEACH

“It was a breezy autumn day, the sun was shining and the sky was clear. Perfect conditions for a walk on the beach, my husband, Mum, two boys and I got wrapped up, climbed into the car and headed off to Newborough. “As we walked along the long stretch of

sand, the sun’s beams danced on to the waves, making them sparkle and shine. “Stopping for sandwiches and sipping hot flasks of tea, the children set to work collecting their favourite stones and pebbles and searching for pirate’s treasure.

“Nearing the end of the beach we

came towards a carved wooden gate that would lead us on to the magical island of Llanddwyn.

“Walking through the sandy grass we

could see and hear the sea smashing and swirling against the black rocks. Then suddenly we found ourselves surrounded my beautiful ruins of an old church. “Ahead in the distance we could see an old lighthouse; heading towards it when we were the approached by some beautiful wild horses. Reaching the base of the lighthouse we climbed our way up the rickety old steps before finding our reward at the top. “Drinking in the breathtaking views

across the sea and the Isle of Anglesey, it was the perfect end to what had been a wonderful day.
