Park News IN BRIEF:

Thanks for making our Fun Day fab

Despite summer’s somewhat disappointing weather, it wasn’t enough to dampen spirits at our fabulous Fun Day on 13th August. And, while the wind may have been chilly, the day stayed dry and a great afternoon was had by all, with entertainment by The Yorkshire Stompers, plus delicious food by Guy of Fairhurst.

Maggie and Susan both deserve a big thank you for all their efforts and for making the Tombola such a terrific success. Well done also to all the staff who were such good sports, by allowing the kids to soak them and to all those who took part in the tug of war.

Finally a special mention to Sue who had a brilliant time completing the assault course, alongside Joan Watson. Altogether the event raised a magnificent £1,085 so thank you again to everyone who supported the day.

DIRECTORS HEAD FOR THE HILLS

Local Feature

On 10th July, our Directors headed for the hills to complete a fell run, along with staff from both the Chantry and Yorkshire Dale’s parks. Having worked

up quite an appetite, they then arrived on park to join owners and other staff for a refuelling breakfast.

HAVE YOU VISITED KIPLIN HALL?

“Over the summer, the Book Club and I visited Kiplin Hall to see a play. Despite living in the area and passing the hall many times, this was my first visit. However, I can safely say it won’t be my last!

“Kiplin is an amazing place with the giant picturesque lake, beautiful gardens, a grand house to explore plus a tearoom serving tasty homemade fare. And, with themed events going on through the year, I’d really recommend it.”
