Managing director for the past 10 years Phil Smith explains: “Our team is 100% dedicated to keeping our customers happy. That is the single most important part of our business strategy. Every single one of our contracts has been personally tailored to suit the needs of the customer – whether that be a short-term hire, or a long-term lease of a new or used vehicle. Everyone's needs are different and my team are committed to ensuring that our customers get impartial expert advice that will enable them to manage and grow their business – without having to worry about their vehicles.“
Windsor Vehicle Leasing does indeed have a very unique approach to the leasing business. The addition of an impressive Windsor showroom five years ago, where previously leased vehicles are retailed direct to the customer, adds a new dimension and personal face-to-face opportunity for customers. At the same time, having new and nearly-new vehicles on site ready to go, enables businesses who need immediate lease solutions to have a vehicle the same day – something which Smith explains has proven very successful.
“I firmly believe that we are different in the leasing industry, offering a real alternative, with the customer able to come and touch and feel the car they are going to lease. Customers can walk in, take a test drive, speak to someone face-to-face and genuinely receive impartial advice. If needs be they can even drive out with a vehicle before the ink on the paperwork has had time to dry.
“Everyone knows that business can be unpredictable and our customers need to move where their markets take them. The fact that we are an independent privately-owned business means that we can look at business in a different way. We can be very flexible with our lease offering. We've leased everything from Fiats to Ferraris, ice-cream vans to tractors and everything in between."

“We will look at a lease that suits your needs, whether that is a one month or a three year contract. We are happy to lease brand new vehicles but equally we will look at used vehicles if that means that the customer gets the solution that they need for their individual business. It probably sounds very simple as business strategies go, but is one that has stood us in good stead.“
Smith also believes that for SMEs and Start Ups leasing is budget-proof.
“Ours is a personal service so my experienced team take the time to understand our customers' needs, to question their thought processes and how the vehicle will be used in order that they get the right vehicle with the right lease profile for the job. It helps to ensure that there are no surprises at the end of a lease.“
In the same year as acquiring its new showroom, Windsor Vehicle Leasing opened up a new accident repair centre at its head office. The business has achieved the BSI Kitemark for vehicle damage repair BS10125 and offers these services to leasing, insurance and private customers alike.
Today known as Windsor Vehicle Leasing, the business can trace its roots back to 1911, and is proud to have been providing vehicle leasing, hire and management solutions for over 40 years to individuals and businesses across the whole of the UK.
